2021 January 9th - fishing Wreck

After the battle with my axel, my friendWill Gafa did great work on it and today I was out early morning.
Along with Jerry & Zoran I left Werribee at 6am and the car park was already full. We ended deep in 20m spot close to the wreck and as we got there already dozen boats where anchored. Saying that, just a km towards st Leonard’s it was very very busy.
We started we slimys immediately, and just on 7am Zoran was on. Nice fight and he was rewarded with 3kg snapper that took a frozen yakka we got few days a go. After that more slimy mackerel only , so we took of to Prince George.
Squid was on but we seen tons of garfish, so we start catching them. Best bait was flatty flesh.
By 11am we took of to old channel at Portarlington to try for pinky’s. No pinky’s but more garfish and yakkas.
By 1 am we where out.
One more thing – as Will replaced my axel I found out that my hubs where Ford and the bearings Lm Holden. Yep, possible, and I did found that the hard way as Will had it all set and the freaking wheels would not fit.
Still, happy fisherman
Cheers
