2020 May 13th First day out after lockdown

Got to the Werribee ramp this morning just before 7am with old man JJ. Surprise- no line to wait in, and only few boats out. Anyway, we head of to JJ”s gummy spot towards Portarlington . Funny enough a big tanker was parked right on the mark. We decided to go to Portarlington old channel. We got there, pinky’s where crazy, and 15minutes later the seal showed up. Well, of to Kirks point gummy spot. We spend a full hour – donuts.
Then we moved to 5m depth drifting for squid. We got the first one in first few minutes, marked the spot, and then we managed over a dozen on that mark, and they where bloody monsters that I usually target in Queenscliff.
The shimano orange jig in the picture, this time, did just about all the damage.
By 1 pm we scanned around for KGW at wedge spit – donuts. We where out at the ramp just before 2 pm.
