2020 March 12 - fishing Point Cook with old man JJ

Another great day on the water with my mate JJ. We took of in 12m of water Point Cook, straight out from Campbells Cove. We did try everything to get a gummy shark, but it was Banjo Shark invasion. Then, we moved closer in to 9m. I was impressed that there was just odd pinky in the area. Normally, the bait would not touch the bottom, it would be smashed. Again, i believe we smashed the world record catching Banjo Sharks. And then off it goes. JJ called it – it’s a gummy 100%. No long after, JJ landed a nice gummy that took a salmon fillet. No eve 20minutes later, JJ was on another nice fish. This time a 56 cm Flathead. By 3pm, we where out. Another good day to remember!

One more thing that was impressive: My newly installed Lone Star Anchor. I could never hold the ground with my old setup in 9m of Point Cook. This time, even it was quiet ruff at the end as the waves went over 1.5m, the boat was holding ground with ease. Impressive!

Cheers
