2019 November 17 - Fishing Portarlington

Monday 18th – a big run around. My friend Emma was on board and beside a flathead she never got any other fish. So we started with 5m at Portarlington around 1pm. That was Yakka city two days a go, this time no go. Mima managed a big squid and that was it. We moved towards Prince George to chase squid, and that paid off. Solid black definitely the best jig. After an hour a quick drive to western marker to see the seals, then a quick scan off the western channel. I couldn’t scan anything so we decided to get some whiting. In one hour we managed a dozen. It was not hot action, and the paternoster rig was the most successful, with a small squid strip. After we took of backwards. First stopped at 5m Portarlington – few boats around as per picture – no much happening at all. One yakka to be precised. By 7pm we moved to Portarlington 11m mark, and we managed few pinky’s. After all, great day on the water and a nice feed. We where out by 8.30 pm. There are few pictures and i will have a video to follow with some more underwater footage. Cheers Happy Fisherman
