2018 october 7th Portarlington

Sunday we took of to test Portarlington Old Channel hoping for some reds but i can only say – Flatty’s. Flatty’s in a million and very small. We waited for 2pm High Tide, had everything on offer but nothing. Lots of slimmy grass – as per picture – which covered the bait in no time. Back up plan was to head of to wedge spit and it worked. Managed some nice calamari this time on the light orange Jig. By 5pm we where out. When we left i can say – there was two guys cleaning couple snapper around 5kg mark at Werribee ramp. I did attached a short video to see what i’m referring to when i say Portarlington Old Chanel. This place brings the goods most of the time, and lots of different kind of fish. You just need to fish the edge of the drop off from 8 to 11m.
