2018 Nov 19th Point Cook

Yesterday Point Cook from 6pm. I got smoked 2 times, lost a big schoolly as we try to gaff it, but we still end up with few fish. 9 m depth straight in front of RAAF. It was slow till the sun touched down, and the went crazy with some big suckers. As the schoolly byte my hook off, I rigged a wire trace and launched full salmon. It took off like Russian submarine. Last time I managed to bring the huge 7gill right to the boat, this time I was just watching. As I was nearly out off line, I started to break a bit with the hand, and 50lb snapped. Today I’m taking the heavy gear!
Cheers
Happy fisherman
