2018 Dec 27th Mud Island

This morning 5.30 we left Patterson lakes to go to mud island. We where on Zorans new boat and I was showing him the grounds around that area. We got there just before the high tide and the action started. Lots of slimmy mackerel, few yakkas, nice flattys, small pinky’s (no keepers) and the usual banjos, eagle ray and port Jackson’s. In meantime another friend of ours -Will- was trying for snapper at chelsea. No snapper there but he smashed some nice salmon. Will and the boys headed our way and first thing they did is offer us some salmon for bait. Cheers to them! As they got there, they where on to slimy mackerel and the usual stuff. Then in meantime we had two big runs, and just before the low tide we managed couple nice gummy’s. After the tide changed everything somehow stopped and we decided to go out. By 2 pm we where at the ramp
Cheers
Happy fisherman
