I left around 5 30 pm at Altona straight pass the yellow marker in 9.9m. I took Aaron Humphries, close friend for manny years as we worked together in music studios around Melbourne, with me and i was a bit worried as the waves where over two meters. Birds where everywhere and salmon was on. First trow fish on. Aaron was happy to figh this salmon on a 2kg rod and 10lb line. As we had it in the boat my snapper rod with silver whiting took of. This time we landed another 5+kg snapper. After that every throw salmon. They where 1.5-2kg. We kept 7 for bait tomorrow night and after the sun went down we took of back home. Very productive 2 hr and again snapper on silver whiting. Evry rod with pilchard did get cleaned up i believe even before they got to the bottom by small fish. At the ramp another guy had a 3kg snapper and he said he lost a big taylor right next to the boat. Cheers – happy fisherman
