TV Episode 132 – Mixed Bag plus Pippies

by Jun 13, 2025news, TV show0 comments

Our fishing adventure started bright and early in Queenscliff, where we set out to catch some King George whiting at Grass Beds. The bite was slow, but we managed to hook a few—nothing too spectacular, but it was a good start. After spending some time at Grass Beds, we made our way over to St Leonards, hoping for a better bite.

Unfortunately, it was much of the same—just a couple more whiting, but the action was still sluggish. Not letting that get us down, we decided to head over to Mud Island. Here, we had a bit more success with squid. While the King George whiting weren’t coming in as expected, the squid were plentiful, which was a nice change of pace and a good sign for future trips.

In the second part of our adventure, we shifted gears to Pippie hunting. This is a fantastic activity, especially if you’ve got kids. It’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the environment, and teach them about the local wildlife. If you’re looking for something fun and educational to do with the family, Pippie hunting should definitely be on your list.
