Fishing Mud Island with my best man Zoran

We left around eleven and went straight to the gummy spot on mud island. I had fresh Yakka fillets, Squid heads etc. but no gummy’s around. Even the banjos and port Jacksons where on long leave. Flatty’s kept us busy and after the tide turned we took of to get some squid. In about 40 minutes we managed 16 and Zoran got a nice 40+cm flatty on the paternoster rig using squid. Then we went back to try for gummy’s. Again no luck, flat heads only and one banjo this time. As Zoran had things to do we had to leave by around 230. We got back, kleen the calamari and flatty’s and had few drinks. Very good day to be out there so we happy fisherman’s. 🙂
