Launched 430 am at werribee and went straight to st leonards. We anchored in 6 m between the ramp and the pier and not long before my son Jordan got a squid. Jerry followed with few more and around 630 whitting was on. We only managed 7 and 3 big flattys. By 8 it stoped so I decided to go queenscliff on the point lonsdale side for some big squid. Action was very poor as we only got few and dropped a big mumma. We went to swan bay and again no much action. I decided to inspect mud island but nothing much happening there beside the small flattys. By 11 we wheee back to st leonards either lady where we and up we more squid and battle fish. We where back at werribee by 2 with all up 18 squid, 8 whitting, 3 flattys just under 50cm and a cattle fish.
To mention as well that Friday we spend most of the morning at spoil ground and we came home with 6 flattys around 50cm and 38cm pinky. We where hopping for a snapper or gummy but no luck. Flattys are in high 40 mid 50 all around the bay. I’m Happy to see that! Happyfisherman
