2019 March 9th fishing Mud Island

Left Patterson lakes at 5 am. I don’t know if was fog or smoke, but we had slow ride to mt Martha. As we got there in 21m of water, few small pinky’s and small flattys where on the chew. Zoran had one mission , and that was to make his father in law happy by catching a snapper, so, I had to deliver. At 10 past 7am one of the rods bend like no tomorrow. I passed it to the old man, and he was up for a fight. After 10min a 8kg snapper was on board. He was shaking my hand and said “I only see this on tv”. 20 minutes later we where on second one, same size, and Zoran was up for a fight. In meantime Jerry was fighting with few banjos, eagles and stingrays. At 8.42am I had the 3rd one on the boat. Then we left to mud island where we met a friend who already landed s beautiful gummy. After few banjos and othe suckers we managed a nice one as well. By 12 we where on the way out. Good to see that there are still some nice reds around! All of them we got on full silver whiting. The gummy was full of small crabs. Cheers
Happy fisherman
